Several talent and literary agencies in California are looking for screenwriters. Although many agencies only work with established writers or accept queries upon referrals, there are a few out there that want to discover new talent. All request queries prior to requesting the full manuscript.

The agency responds in four to six weeks to queries and manuscripts. It has 23 clients and is seeking action, cartoon, comedy, fantasy, mainstream and romantic comedy scripts.
The screenwriting industry is a tough nut to crack and writers with connections, referrals and networking opportunities have better chances of getting their scripts in the right hands. All writers, no matter what their genre or format, must network and be both persistent and patient. The business is quite subjective and what one acquisitions executive rejects another executive may find spectacular.
